in the interest of a more precise distribution of information related to duck pond, there are two lists. the two lists are as follows:

duck pond

emails will have the prefix [duck pond] for your filters.

reached at duckpond (at) vireo (dot) org, this is the list for "official" camp related discussion, announcements, requests, etc. here we can talk about meal plans, structures, fire art ideas, where-did-that-sign-get-stored, fundraiser ideas, etc. - general brainstorming and discussion of camp related items. everybody planning on [or interested in] camping at the duck pond should sign up for this list.

fodp

emails will have the prefix [fodp] for your filters.

reached at fodp (at) vireo (dot) org, the Friends of Duck Pond list is for what some may consider duck pond spam such as job openings, room or roommate inquiries, parties or events worth attending, asking if anybody has an extra pair of skis they can borrow, looking for recommendations on restaurants to take a date, duck pond fundraisers etc. - the kinds of crap we've been sending out to the old list plus a little bit more leeway. this list allows camp members with busy jobs to ignore our family-spam and also allows for friends of ducks [that aren't really ever going to camp with us] to stay informed about our events without having to wade through camp related emails. ducks with bandwidth for such a list should subscribe, and anybody else that has enjoyed our events and generally likes ducks should also subscribe.

  • put in your email address and please put in at least a first name - i don't know everybody by their creative addresses
  • you can select to receive emails in digest form
  • picking a password isn't necessary, but you can choose one if you'd like
  • you will get a confirmation email, as will any of your friends that you sign up
